REVIEW OF
Boulder Dash
Reviewed By: John W. Rea

Produced By: Micro Fun
When I first heard about this
game I was told that it was going
to be another dig-dug, I was mis-
informed. This game is original,
exciting, frustrating, charming,
cute, and utterly addictive.
What I mean by addictive is that
usually when I purchase a game,
I play it for a day, maybe two,
but Boulder Dash has had me
charmed for in excess of a week
and surely for weeks to come.
BD's animation is very cute
especially when Rockford, the
'man' you control, stamps his
foot impatiently if you wait too
long before making a move. BD
has 16 different caves which you
explore to find and 'eat' crystals
while avoiding fireflies, rocks,
butterflies, amoeba, and the
other occupational hazards
that are placed on our little
spelunker. After Micro Fun's
flop, Dino Eggs, this could be
called their redemption. In my
opinion this game is a must for
all you cutesy game lovers. It
costs about $35.
